Nurse Corps Scholarship 2018-2019

Hi Everyone, I'm planning to apply for the HRSA NurseCorp Scholarship this year. I figured I would go ahead and start the next thread for this award year. I'm currently finishing up some of my prereqs and will be starting my BSN program in June. I know the application date hasn't been released yet but from what I have seen on other threads, it should be opened sometime in March/April with a deadline in May. I've also read that the prompt questions have been the same from one award year to the next so I have begun working on them as well as trying to figure out who I would like to use as recommendations. I would love to hear from all who plan to apply this year.

Participants loss access to the applicant portal and it switched over to the program portal.

It changed from in final review to participant it said congratulations your portal is being converted when I logged in then everything popped up .

@genibby, don't stress! I have the signature, but still no participant status change or email. I think they aren't doing everything at once for some reason and going person by person. Who knows why. But we have until the 30th! From what I understand, if you received the finalist email, submitted the paperwork, and nothing changed from your original application (like going from full time to part time, etc.), then you should receive the scholarship. They're just taking their time informing everyone. I'm super stressed too! You're not alone :)

I GOT THE COUNTER SIGNATURE from Jamie along now to wait for my participant email! Yay!!! Thank you for the kind words. I'm so great full to God!

Congrats. Did you apply for RN, BSN or ARNP?

I applied for BSN for 2 years.

I called HRSA this morning and talked with a person. I asked if they were still sending out award notifications and if they were sending out rejection emails yet. She said they are still reviewing applications and are sending both. Hoping to hear and answer soon!

Has anyone been awarded that is going to school for their DNP? Any Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Students?
