Nurse Corps Scholarship 2018-2019

Hi Everyone, I'm planning to apply for the HRSA NurseCorp Scholarship this year. I figured I would go ahead and start the next thread for this award year. I'm currently finishing up some of my prereqs and will be starting my BSN program in June. I know the application date hasn't been released yet but from what I have seen on other threads, it should be opened sometime in March/April with a deadline in May. I've also read that the prompt questions have been the same from one award year to the next so I have begun working on them as well as trying to figure out who I would like to use as recommendations. I would love to hear from all who plan to apply this year.

I too am starting to wonder but the one thing that keeps me hopeful is the fact that they have not just sent out a mass email stating that they are no longer offering funds. To know that they actually got approved for more funds helps me to keep the faith that maybe i'll get some good news. Keep the faith.

You guys I am praying my school fixes this issue . They changed the credits from 12 to 11 . I read in the guidance book that I would have to forfeit the scholarship if the school cannot make me full time. I contacted the nursing commission because this is the only way I can pay for school. I am waiting for my participant email. Please pray for me you guys . I cannot forfeit this scholarship. My first quarter I was in 17 credits and second quarter they moved one class we took our first quarter to second quarter so now we are all affected. PRAY please

@genibby, don't stress! I have the signature, but still no participant status change or email. I think they aren't doing everything at once for some reason and going person by person. Who knows why. But we have until the 30th! From what I understand, if you received the finalist email, submitted the paperwork, and nothing changed from your original application (like going from full time to part time, etc.), then you should receive the scholarship. They're just taking their time informing everyone. I'm super stressed too! You're not alone :)

My status still says "under review." For anyone that was rejected did your status change over to "rejected?" Also, does anyone else still show a "under review" status?
