Nurse Corps Scholarship 2018-2019

Hi Everyone, I'm planning to apply for the HRSA NurseCorp Scholarship this year. I figured I would go ahead and start the next thread for this award year. I'm currently finishing up some of my prereqs and will be starting my BSN program in June. I know the application date hasn't been released yet but from what I have seen on other threads, it should be opened sometime in March/April with a deadline in May. I've also read that the prompt questions have been the same from one award year to the next so I have begun working on them as well as trying to figure out who I would like to use as recommendations. I would love to hear from all who plan to apply this year.

I was contacted on Monday, no credit check yet and still waiting for counter sign. application status is in final review

I am also waiting to hear back about the scholarship. I am extremely nervous about what I'll hear. Just like all of you I need this scholarship. I wish all of you luck!

The waiting is SO hard!!! I keep checking my email over and over. Also afraid of a rejection email, but finding it harder and harder to believe that any more awards will be made. :(

2 people in the FB group said their account changed to participants. One had theirs signed yesterday. One got an email and the other one found out from checking their portal. It's happening guys!

Mine also still says final review. I'm hoping we'll find out officially soon? If our contracts are countersigned, I can't imagine we'd be rejected at this point.
