Nurse Corps Scholarship 2018-2019

Hi Everyone, I'm planning to apply for the HRSA NurseCorp Scholarship this year. I figured I would go ahead and start the next thread for this award year. I'm currently finishing up some of my prereqs and will be starting my BSN program in June. I know the application date hasn't been released yet but from what I have seen on other threads, it should be opened sometime in March/April with a deadline in May. I've also read that the prompt questions have been the same from one award year to the next so I have begun working on them as well as trying to figure out who I would like to use as recommendations. I would love to hear from all who plan to apply this year.

Just got notified last night that I was finalist! Got a call shortly after I received the email and my analyst received my W-4 and my enrollment verifications this morning!

Does anyone know how much the stipend is? I submitted my bank information and he informed me that I would be receiving my 4 month stipend from July 1-Now in October and I didn't even think to ask how much the stipend is?

The guideline says it's $1,363 a month for fully time students but it will be reduced due to taxes not sure how much it will be after taxes. So did you get ur co tract signed yet since he already stated you would be getting a stipend that means you're a receipient.

Anyone else receive a finalist notification on 8/20 and a countersigned contract on 9/14 but still no official notification of participation? Or am I the only one? I'm getting a little nervous.

I did and still no official notice. My status also went back to under review instead of under final review and I cannot see my contract anymore. When I called they said it was a glitch, but I called again today and they had no idea...At this point..who freaking knows.

I am praying they are still giving out awards. This is my final semester of Nursing School. I am suppose to graduate in December. I just really need help paying for this semester. 5 more days...

I still have not received an emailed either. I have a counter sign, and it still says under final review. But now I have a another tab at the top that says "Roles" that was not there before... I have no clue!!

So I called a few minutes ago and the woman told me they do send notices out throughout the weekend up until the 30th. I was so hoping all of the notices would be sent out by Friday since the 30th is on the weekend but she said no they will be sending them out over the weekend.
