Hi Everyone, I'm planning to apply for the HRSA NurseCorp Scholarship this year. I figured I would go ahead and start the next thread for this award year. I'm currently finishing up some of my prereqs and will be starting my BSN program in June. I know the application date hasn't been released yet but from what I have seen on other threads, it should be opened sometime in March/April with a deadline in May. I've also read that the prompt questions have been the same from one award year to the next so I have begun working on them as well as trying to figure out who I would like to use as recommendations. I would love to hear from all who plan to apply this year.
My contract was electronically signed on 9/14 at 9:39 by Jamie King. I think this is definitely a really good sign y'all because on the contract it says right above where we would physically sign the contract: "The Secretary or his/her authorized representative must sign this contract before it becomes effective." Which I think we should take as a very good sign that our contracts are now "effective" and we should be getting our emails shortly for the program!
Hi everyone! I'm a little late to the party.. I applied for both the HRSA scholarship program & the nurse corps scholarship program. I have yet to hear anything from either! I'm in my second year of DNP FNP at Johns Hopkins. I'm very confident in my profile... and have contacted them but kept getting the answer of "we'll let you know by sept 30", I'm getting anxious! Anyone else in a FNP program apply?
I spoke to my advisor and she says it's very weird that they haven't even reached out yet... (Hopkins receives multiple awards per year hence my confidence)... I wonder if they're even considering any more finalists at this point. I'm gonna call them later and see... I'm scared I'm gonna get the same answer, again
I don't have any other loans...had to take one out for this semester due to not hearing anything on this scholarship. I am in PMHNP program, and have 3.8 GPA from BSN. Have worked as RN for 30 years, single mom, EFC 0. The program I am in thru EKU is a part-time program for 3 years...wondering if that made a difference. But...being the sole provider leaves me no other choice than to work full-time while pursuing MSN.
I see! Same! Had to take out this semester too. I'm also working, per diem at the hospital & one day a week as a clinical instructor, not sure if working makes a difference! My EFC is also zero. So many things I'm thinking about at this point. Also, I called a little bit ago, they actually said the official cut off is end of October cause some people decline the contract and then they go down the list and give others the opportunity, there's still hope!

Hi all! My contract was electronically signed on the 14th as well! Honestly so grateful to be part of this program, how cool is this? Just put in a request to join the facebook group.
