Nurse Corps Scholarship 2018-2019

Hi Everyone, I'm planning to apply for the HRSA NurseCorp Scholarship this year. I figured I would go ahead and start the next thread for this award year. I'm currently finishing up some of my prereqs and will be starting my BSN program in June. I know the application date hasn't been released yet but from what I have seen on other threads, it should be opened sometime in March/April with a deadline in May. I've also read that the prompt questions have been the same from one award year to the next so I have begun working on them as well as trying to figure out who I would like to use as recommendations. I would love to hear from all who plan to apply this year.

My contract was signed today @ 9:44am.

Mine was signed electronically this morning too! I'm praying extra hard that this is a good sign that we will get it!

I think this is a pretty sure sign that we are getting it! Mine was signed this morning around 9:44 too.

Any ARNP student accepted ?? Psych or Family.

I have a couple of other students in my program that got the scholarship who are psych and family NPs.

I'm in fnp and have heard nothing. I wish they would just say if there's no way we're getting it. I'd rather just move on, I've wasted enough time and effort in this.

I tried to start a FB group but you have to add at least one FB friend or someone's email and I don't actually know anyone else who is a recipient. If anyone does and would like to get our FB group started, that would be great.

Where would you check to see if an officer has signed the contract? I received a finalist award but haven't heard back from anyone.

On the fourth page where it says you electronically signed it. There should be another electronic signature underneath yours with the role of the person. The individual who signed mine was Jamie King.
