Hi everyone,
I am interested in applying to the nurse corps scholarship 2017 2018 in order to pay for my accelerated program of sixteen months. I have a bachelors in sociology. I have done quiet a few researches. The application cycle will be open this month but I don't know which exact date. I have read discussion threads of previous years and have found really helpful information. I want to create a platform where interested applicants can ask questions, share information, discuss and help each other.
Thanks
Are you doing the loan repayment or the scholarship? I will have about $220k in student loan debt as well (currently at $130k with another $90k to take out) and was just offered the scholarship... Is there a way to get the loans already taken out (for the same nursing program and concurrent years) covered inI think they will only cover the 2017-18 school year. If you had summer courses they will cover those and any courses after that that you requested.
I have a friend in my nursing program who received the NCSP offer last year ON Sept 30th.
That gives me hope. Thank you!

Hi, I'm new to this thread and have also applied for the scholarship. Congrats to everyone! I understand that we will be able to use the scholarship towards previous classes (my first semester was May- Aug.), however, does anyone know if they will give us the stipend from those months as well? Or does the stipend not start until you've formally accepted the scholarship? Thank you! í ½í¸Š
Long time listener (2 years), first time caller. I applied to NHSC last year (no credit check or e-mail and also didn't know I could apply to Nurse Corps) and both this year. I received the Nurse Corps finalist e-mail on Aug 14th with a CREDCO check on Equifax on 7/24. EFC 0 & GPA 3.99 (my cumulative undergrad GPA is abysmal--worth forgetting). MSN-FNP/MPH student in Maryland and 2nd year in the program.
Congrats to all who received the scholarship/loan repayment and good luck to all who have yet to hear. My e-mail was on the second day of awards. This whole application process is a doozy for sure, but hang tight. Thank you to all for the encouragement over the past two years.
Cheers
I am so confused. so i didnt work for 2017. and while filling out W-4 form, do i put 0 in all of the sections? For now, I have only my personal information on the FORM and 0 in almost all sections. Also, my school dont have summer nursing classes, so I dont need to fill out summer verification form right? PLEASEEE HELPPP!!!! I am very confused.
