Nurse Corps Scholarship 2017-2018

Published

Hi everyone,

I am interested in applying to the nurse corps scholarship 2017 2018 in order to pay for my accelerated program of sixteen months. I have a bachelors in sociology. I have done quiet a few researches. The application cycle will be open this month but I don't know which exact date. I have read discussion threads of previous years and have found really helpful information. I want to create a platform where interested applicants can ask questions, share information, discuss and help each other.

Thanks

Mine said by to turn in by 08/17. But I already did it!

My advisor said he had to fill my paperwork out on Monday - I'm so anxious to just get it done!

That's good news...they phrase things so strangely, like after you submit it says you've submitted your intent to accept the scholarship, but actually you've electronically signed the contract already. I hope we have better access to knowledgeable people who run the program once we are actually in the program!

I know the feeling... I saw the email at 11:00 and I was on campus and got started on it. It took a bout + hrs trying to get the right person and being Friday and close to term break almost everyone was out but glad I got it done. Although I didn't get to study for finals like I planned. Once they email it back to you you just log in and upload and takes like 15 minutes !

It's the federal government they don't commit to any statement until the contract is official. í ½í¸Š Once they sign your contract, which will take a few more weeks, your portal will change to participant and you will be assigned an anylyst that will answer your specific questions. Just hang on you're almost there!!!

Just received a finalist email! At 9:00 AM EST. I am an ABSN student starting in a couple weeks. Thank you Jesus! Check your emails people! The second wave has been released!

I received a finalist email at 8am cst. Praising God for his goodness.

This girl in my program with my SAME stats received the award and I didn't. This is so *** up. I have to return home now and maybe start next year because now I can't afford school.

Just received an email that my application was considered a finalist. It doesn't guarantee that I will be awarded anything. I have a deadline to go in and accept or decline my scholarship intent. I plan to do that this morning. Just wanted to let you guys know that they are emailing out offers. Good luck everyone :)

Dont lose hope! They send out this scholarship in SEVERAL waves. Last year I think they notified people over a span of a month with about 5 or 6 waves of emails going out. It's not over until September 30th- so don't get discouraged!

Waiting is very stressful. Trust me. But I don't think we should be discouraged or negative about not receiving emails. Everyone has their own personal reason why the scholarship would mean a lot to them. You guys may have had different essays and different personal stories. What is for you is for you! I've always believed that. Stay positive. And congrats to everyone else!

Received an email this morning! Praise!!! Keep your heads up!

OMG! OMG! I am so relieved!!! Had an exam this morning and immediately after finishing my exam, I saw the email! I'm a finalist! I was so freaking out about everything, like I had two weeks left before Fall term starts and I had to pay my tuition! I'm a lot hopeful :). I just want to be an encouragement to those who are waiting or don't feel like you got a chance, there is hope! I personally felt like I was not going to get this scholarship after reading everyone's stats.
