After binge reading the thread for 2015-2016, I decided it's time to start one for this year. I am a single mother opting to pursue a BSN after a post-quarter life crisis. Because I have multiple degrees, I have just about exhausted all of my financial aid options. I would like to hear from anyone applying for the scholarship. What's your story? What are your stats? Previous applicants and recipients I would like to hear your story too!
Starting at a private nursing school in May (with what little fin. aid I have left)
1 year AmeriCorps
1 year internship at group home for at-risk adolescents
5 years working with Dept. of Corrections (2.5 of which were counseling offenders)
If I have not heard anything at all yet about the scholarship, does that mean that I probably didn't get it? I've been anxiously checking my mailbox everyday and still nothing!
Hi, I check my email constantly. I called the HRSA reviewers and asked them if it was bad that I have not heard anything yet. I am an LPN in a ADN program. I asked if they review and send out the winners in ''waves'' and was told no. I was told that they pick people as money/funds are available.
Ugh I'm getting so nervous! I'm in an LPN-ADN program as well! I just figured out how to log onto the application website again and it says mine is still under review so I guess it's not a no as of yet, so that's a little comforting...but not really.
I've been anxiously checking my mailbox everyday and still nothing!

I don't know of anyone who has gotten a participant email yet. Myself included. Don't worry! Signed contract is a good thing!
