After binge reading the thread for 2015-2016, I decided it's time to start one for this year. I am a single mother opting to pursue a BSN after a post-quarter life crisis. Because I have multiple degrees, I have just about exhausted all of my financial aid options. I would like to hear from anyone applying for the scholarship. What's your story? What are your stats? Previous applicants and recipients I would like to hear your story too!
Starting at a private nursing school in May (with what little fin. aid I have left)
1 year AmeriCorps
1 year internship at group home for at-risk adolescents
5 years working with Dept. of Corrections (2.5 of which were counseling offenders)
Maybe its a good sign that most people who had credit inquiries got awards? I also had a credit inquiry but no award email yet. Maybe were next?! Trying to stay optimistic
Those of us who got award emails on 7/26 had until yesterday to get our documents in and accept. So who ever didn't do it gave up their award, so more emails will be going out I'd imagine. Don't give up hope!
I'm praying that God blesses those who have not heard yet. I have not had credit check nor an email but I'm holding on to my faith. We did not come all this way for nothing. Thinking positive but I'm not going to sit here and tell a story and say that I'm not nervous because I still am nervous and I'm not trying to scare anyone. I'm just still wiggin out wondering if I'm going to get that email any day now.
I would imagine that the next round of emails will start going out later today if not then tomorrow but I would imagine by the end of the week more applicants will hear back

I wonder how many they have offered already? I'm going ncsp and still no email.
