2019 Nurse Corps Loan Repayment Program

Hi Everyone,

I didn't see a thread created for the 2019 Nurse Corps Loan Repayment Program yet. This will be my 3rd year applying. I'm applying as a staff RN with a HPSA score of 17. Hopefully, they open the application cycle soon.

So when you open your contract under your electronic signature it has another signature?

Yes! My contract says “your nurse Corp signed contract” and under my name it has the approver signature time stamped from today at 4:23 pm. Still no email notification.

They don't usually send an email alerting you about the countersignature. They will send an email indicating the status change and the welcome kit. When you log in after that email, then you're screen/portal will look entirely different.

Do you know if the counter signature means we are definitely going to receive a welcome letter/award?

Yes, you will receive the award. That is the final step.

I am not sure where the co-signature part comes into play, but I received an award email, I logged in and saw the welcome letter. I had checked my status an hour before that email and it still said under review. I am beyond happy to have gotten this.... def keep your hopes us!!!!!!! I never calculated my DTI or anything of that sort (too stressful for me), I am an RN and have insane loans.... I am still in shock!!!

I got my cosignature today!!

I received my countersignature today at 4:23 p.m. and I cried! Only the nurses on this forum can possibly understand the stress of checking the website every day for months to see if you are approved. I am hoping each and every one of you opens your email/application tomorrow and that you see an award offer or second signature. This is a great way to start the school year!

For those of you who posted they received the award recently, could you share program and info (DTI, score)? I'm more and more defeated everyday when I see I haven't received anything ? Thanks, and congrats to all of you!!!!
