Hi Everyone,

I didn't see a thread created for the 2019 Nurse Corps Loan Repayment Program yet. This will be my 3rd year applying. I'm applying as a staff RN with a HPSA score of 17. Hopefully, they open the application cycle soon.

I also logged in this morning to find my application status changed to FINALIST, and was able to confirm my intent to accept the offer!!!!

I cant believe it!

Update: i did receive an email at 12 noon...i guess I was one step ahead, checking frantically every few hours

I received finalist notification from Nurse Corps

Im a clinical RN at a Tribal 638 facility

HPSA score: 20

DTI >200%

I got an email that I was a finalist for NCLRP today at 2pm.

I'm an RN with a HPSA score of 17 and DTI >200%.

After they denied my application bc I didnt have access to my email, I called and they sent out another email for me to accept my award, and then a week later it said I was a finalist and now it went back to under review. This makes zero sense. -__-

Nursenurse3, I feel your pain. I got a finalist email (NHSC RCLRP - I'm an FNP working primary care at IHS facility, HPSA score 19) last Sunday night at 11 pm. Went onto portal 15 mins later and accepted award. Was so excited, decided to go camping off grid Monday into Tuesday. When we got back into cell service Tuesday evening, had a message from someone at HRSA asking for a call back, of course it was too late (I'm on Mountain time). I immediately became terrified, logged into the portal, and saw that my application was back to 'under review.' Wednesday, I finally got a hold of someone. I had to update my employment (my site has about 4 different options, I picked the hospital one initially, I should've picked outpatient one as I work in ambulatory care). I had until 2:30 pm my time on Thursday to update and get my site coordinator to verify or else I would lose my 'spot.' . I _finally_ had everything submitted by 2:20pm. I called HRSA and she verified everything was in." However, my application still says 'Under Review.'

I'm just praying I didn't lose out on this.

Anyone with a co-signature? I know they tend to come later, just looking for updates!

Has anyone ever gotten the finalist notification and signed you contract only to not get awarded??

i received my email Friday and completed all the documentation today. Just don’t want to get my hopes up too high if there is a high possibility that I won’t end up getting awarded.

I received a finalist email on July 18th. Patiently waited for a counter signature and then on August 2nd the offer was recalled. Later on that day Hrsa sent an updated contract and I signed. Then, on August 16th I was countersigned! Praying everything works out as my debt to income ratio is crazy! Good luck to everyone!
