Nurse Corps Loan Repayment 2016 Cycle

Hello All,

I am applying for the nurse corps loan repayment program 2016 cycle, I just spoke to a representative who told me the application cycle opens up tomorrow. For those of you who have applied any tips advice etc.? I am very excited about this opportunity because I have an outrageous amount of loans.

I am a recent BSN grad and am a finalist. I have signed but have not been countersigned yet.

Was anyone awarded today? I'm still under final review. Will be a month on Sept 2.

not yet. over 3 weeks for me too :(

It doesn't look like many Tier 2 people are, if any. My hospital score is 18, but I "only" have 145% DTI ratio, and I haven't been offered anything yet. That said, it is relatively easy to apply, so why not?

I am an RN Tier 1 with DTI of 201% and I still have not heard anything back. Ugh :(

Are you an RN for NP, what is your D/I if you don't mind me asking?

I am 145% ish RN, HPSA 17 I have heard nothing.

That is just soooo odd to me. they must go by something else not just D/I and HPSA.

Honestly, I think they must go by region as my coworkers in other locations got notification at same time I did today. We have been staying in contact and stalking the portal. LOL

I am a NP. I did not apply for Nurse Corps. Only NHSC loan repayment. From what I have gathered watching others' comments, for this program I think they strictly go by HPSA score. My site has score of 16. I have been following this board because it seems to be the only one where I can find anyone actively posting about either option:)
