Just wanted to join this thread because I submitted my NCP app earlier this month! It was so stressful and now I can hardly wait for the decisions.

My recruiter told me 10 spots for 2 year and 55 for 1 year. I am a junior so applying for one year. My recruiter said if you’re applying for 2 year and don’t get it, don’t be upset! You have higher chance by reapplying the next year. Good luck to everyone!

Thats actually super disappointing to hear since I just submitted my package for the 2 year program. What are your grades and other aspects of your package like? I just wanna see what other candidates have in terms of their package. I only had a 3.4 GPA

Don’t be! You don’t know how many 2 years applied. I feel like most people are like me and apply in one year. I wish I applied for two year but didn’t hear about NCP until the career fair my sophomore year.

I have a 3.66. My GPA is higher for this degree but I also have a business degree from my previous career which brought me down. My recruiter said the interviews are most important which I got 10/10 on both but I’m nervous because I’ve heard others say their recruiter told them the personal statement is most important. I’m horrible at writing so mine is terrible. My resume is the formal format they had us use so didn’t get to really highlight my leadership skills there. Hoping they got that from interviews.

My recruiter said they meet mid October and then they tell us around November 1st. However, a senior at my school who did the two year said she didn’t find out till thanksgiving her year.

Hi there! Also heard from my recruiter that they’re accepting 10 for the 2-year scholarship. Just recently submitted mines. It’s been a long process but I’m glad it’s all done now (I hope lol). As for my stats, I have a 3.93 GPA, CNA experience, prior military, and involved in different leadership/volunteer activities. I’m not sure if GPA plays a big part but I’m pretty sure they don’t just based it off of grades. Motivational statement and interviews will definitely make a difference. Hoping to hear the good news when the time comes! Good luck!

Wow! Your background is impressive! Hopefully all three of us will have good news in November!

When I spoke to my recruiter on August 22nd he said there were less applicants than spots. The deadline was today so not sure if the applicant pool jumped up. I plan on asking him later this week!

If you do find out, do let us know! I feel like many people would apply for the two year to be honest, and that there are more spots for 1 year due to the ability for the navy to successfully predict future openings and fiscal capabilities.

My background - I only just turned 21, 3.4 GPA completing a dual degree in sociology. Work as a resident assistant and lifeguard and have been lifeguarding and teaching swim instruction for several years now. Volunteered at a vet's home for a bit as a PT/OT assistant too and did relatively well on my interviews too I believe.

I am applying for the 1 year since I graduate May 2021. I am 28 and do not have too much medical experience. I have an MBA and worked for non-profits/sports for several years in fundraising and marketing.

I plan to ask him on Wednesday or Thursday since it's a holiday and will let you know as soon as I find out!

When does your program begin? I also anticipate graduating May 2021, but my program has already begun this August.

My guess it was a nationwide extension since they pick the candidates out of the whole country and not by region. May be because on August 22 my recruiter said they only had 45 apps nationwide.

I’m at a 4 year institution getting my BSN. They won’t give you your first payment until May 1st so it’s only possible for me to get the 1 year. I think you get the signing bonus in January when you sign though. Not sure.

Regarding the deadline, I also heard from my recruiter that they’re extending it til Sept. 15.

Did anyone ever manage to find a number on how many people applied to the two year program? My package just cleared MEPS and got submitted to the operations officer. Anyone have an ETA on when we will get a decision too?

I asked my recruiter but she didn’t have any idea on how many people applied for the 2-year. The results should come out by early November.
