Hey all. I am looking to relocate to Chicago next summer (July 2013). At that time, I will have just under 3 years exp in a Level I ER. Can anyone list reputable agencys to work with? Also, how is the job market looking in Chicago for experienced RN's?

Hi! My name is Ann and I am one of the owners of The Nurse Agency, a nurse owned and locally owned and operated staffing agency in Chicago. Things have really picked up here since the beginning of this year and we're hoping that the trend will continue. ER has been especially busy! Hopefully that will continue. We would love to speak with you about your experience and the opportunities we have available through our company so please do not hesitate to call us with any questions. Our phone number is (773) 779-8200 and our website, www.thenurseagency.com has tons if information about our company, an online application and a list of the hospitals we serve. Good luck with your move! Ann
Thank you Ann. I will keep The Nurse Agency in mind when I begin looking for work. I am now in the procress of applying for licensure in IL.

Hi my name is Jillian and I am looking for the same thing, but for NICU. I am currently a travel RN. I know it is tough to find travel jobs in Chicago, so I was considering agency nursing. I have already applied for my IL license. I would love to hear some reviews from nurses (positive and negative experiences) for various agencies. Thanks. I will also look into the Nurse Agency.

I'm currently working as a RN in a hospital that just shortened every traveler's contract. There isn't much here in the way of travel jobs at the moment.
