Hi! I have been reading a lot about taking Nurs 4510 by itself. Why is it recommended taking that alone? Is there a lot of writing, reading or discussion boards? I'm just curious because I am going to be taking that course soon.

Yes to all the above. Figuring out APA is like learning to speak a new language. Can anyone help with the APA Exercise?

I think I used https://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/664/01/ for mine. Look under the basics and what to avoid. That exercise was a tough one. I recommend buying a subscription to PERRLA.

It's a lot of writing. I did mine with the physical health assessment and it wasn't so bad but I would have gotten an A if I had done 4510 by itself. I had an A in the health assessment.

Unless you have taken an on line course before, I suggest taking it by itself, just so you can get used to the pace and navigating through all of the sections. It took me hours each week... like 16-18 hours to get through all of the assignments. And yes I agree the APA thing is a torment.....
