Number of students start to end

I have a friend who claims her class started out with 60 students and only 12 graduated everyone else was dropped is this true for any of you? How hard is it that so many people would fail?

We started with 64, only 28 of us graduated.. We were told during nursing orientation that half of us would NOT make it to graduation. Some fail, some decided nursing was not for them, some had family issues and need to step back. Not all of them failed but many did. Nursing school is well.. time consuming, hard for some, impossible for others, easy for some. Your experience may be better or worse than the next person..

It's not necessarily that they all fail. Sometimes life gets in the way, they realize nursing isn't for them. That being said, my class of 19 has whittled down to 6, with 2 more semesters to go. So far, I'd say the ones that have failed didn't put in the time/effort, didn't know how to study, or we're poor test takers. My advice to you would be stay dedicated and ask for help sooner rather than later.

Wow that is scary.....

My school has an 85% completion/graduation rate. But I have heard that is unusual.

My program started with 19 students now we're finishing the second semester with 7 students. The program is not hard, but to be successful in the program don't have too much going on in your life. Yes, they do expect a lot, the questions on tests are sometimes from left field, & 80% of the material is self taught. Good luck & breath.

We started with 14. A year and a half later we have 12. I'm pretty sure all 12 of us will graduate in November.

Now IM really scared i have two babies under the age of one .......
