NSCC (Nashville State Community College)Fall 2019

Published

I wanted to start a thread for people that have applied to the Fall2019 Nursing Program at Nashville State (NSCC).

Does anyone know when we will be receiving notifications for interview? Do they call us, send an email or letter by mail?

Good luck to everyone that have applied!

Hi! I applied for the Fall of 2019 as well. I asked about interview letters and they said mid April. Good luck to you!

Hi. Thanks for replying to this thread.? I started thinking that not many people applied to NSCC this Fall. lol I saw a few threads from past years, but none for 2019. Anyway, I hope more people will comment here!! It will help ease the anxiety of waiting for the results!! ?

I am so nervous about the interview! Do you have any idea on how is the interview process? I wonder if it is a group or individual interview? Do you happen to have any idea on what kind of questions they ask? (other than : "Why do you want to be a nurse?" type of question lol)

If they send the letters mid April, I wonder when the interview process will be...

Good luck to you too!!?

Hi,

I'm happy to see a thread started because I also applied for Fall 2019. Hoping to tag along on here to stay in the loop! I am applying as a transfer student. I have all pre req courses completed and my program GPA is about 3.2. I am retaking Statistics right now so my GPA will be better! I scored a 78 on the TEAS.

If you're comfortable with sharing your program GPA and TEAS score I would appreciate it so I and everyone else can see the stats needed to get an interview and acceptance!

I do have a question..If you did not take your TEAS at NSCC did you just electronically send them over through ATI? I did not see it say to attach to application if not taken at NSCC so I hope I did the right thing by electronically sending it.

Thanks!!!

My GPA for the science and math courses is 3.7. I got "advanced" on the TEAS test. I did take it at NSCC, but if you did not, you just send it through ATI. You did not need to attach it to your application. Just your degreeworks page.

Hi there!!

I am glad another person replied to this thread. Let's keep it growing!! I hope more people will join in. ?

I completed my prerequisite classes at NSCC and I also took the TEAS there. If you sent your TEAS score electronically, then they should have received it. You can always send them an email just to confirm that they received it, just in case ?

And yeah, the only thing they wanted attached to the application is a printout of the "Degree Works".

Yeah, I'm comfortable sharing, so my GPA is 4.0 and I got Advanced on the TEAS.

Where are you transferring from? What school? Did you apply somewhere else? I also applied to Motlow.

Hopefully we hear from them soon!! I know I already asked this here on this thread, but do you have any idea on how is the interview process.

Oh, and nice to meet you ☺️

Omg!! I hope so! I am so nervous!! I hope I didn't make any mistake on the application... lol

I hope they got my application alright!! I remember when I went there to turn it in, the lady in the office told me that I had to put it in the box outside the office. So I put it in that big metal box that says "nursing" with big bold letters. We don't really receive any confirmation if they received the application, so it's a little bit of a nerve racking, not knowing hahaha I know I am already overthinking this.... Do you know of anyone that already got an interview letter?

I haven't gotten a letter yet! I live a few hours from there so I am hoping it comes early next week....I'm assuming that the first round of letters are for those who have completed all courses already.

I called the nursing department and they said I could send it by mail since I live so far from the school. So I am hoping they received it! I was a little taken aback when they said that there's a chance they wouldn't receive it because the person in charge of mail doesn't always give it to the right person. I thought that was a bit of a red flag that they can't deliver mail properly. Did anyone else get this story and/or send it by mail?

Hi there

I turned in my application in person. But I think that if you sent to the correct address, they should have received it. I think that they just told you that cause they don't want to be responsible in case the mail doesn't arrive. But I'm pretty sure they got it just fine. But I completely understand you being worried, I wish they would notify us when they receive it. I know at Motlow, we apply for the program online, so we receive an email confirmation right after.
