Hello!
Curious what the national standard is on NP/PA call room use when working nights. Does your institution allow this? Do you feel you have professional equity in this area compared to your physician colleagues?
Thanks in advance for sharing!

Good question. When I worked in Critical Care Medicine, all the NP's who work nights have access to a call room with a twin bed and a desktop computer. Some have a bathroom but not all. Some you have to share the room with another provider while some are private. All residents, fellows, and attendings working nights have a call room for themselves. However, I have heard of other hospital services in the same institution that do not have call rooms for those working nights so I am not sure if it is standard across the board.
