NP to NP , question on colleague to colleague advice

Published

Hello.

I am a practicing nurse practitioner in family medicine. I was just wondering, is there any live chat? applications? or etc; Where I can connect to other providers and bring scenarios about and get speedy responses. Sometimes I just want to connect with other providers scenario based. Is there any chat groups or anything like such someone can recommend?

Thank you

Can anybody assist in this?

Specializes in FNP.

The only suggestion I can think of would be to connect with NP's in your area such as a local professional group and exchange contact information. For example, in my area we have SANAP.org (the website is temporarily down for the next 7-10 days).

Specializes in Nephrology, Cardiology, ER, ICU.

I second the state organization.

Also, we have a large APP (advanced practice provider) group so we have group texts all day some days.

Our state organization also has a mentor program for the first year after licensure and you are matched with an experienced NP who works in a similar environment.

have you ever used the app Figure1? It is sort of like a facebook meets instagram but for medical/healthcare professionals to share interesting cases and also discuss best practices.

Thanks. I am not sure if we have a mentorship program ; but I will ask around and try to get connected to organizations, no problem.

Not a bad suggestion will see where I can find organizations that support.

Thanks

I usually ask questions here. But no matter where you ask, you will get harassed for asking questions just like in nursing school.
