NP Information

Posted

Hi guys, I just passed my Nclex RN, have been working as an LPN for the past 8 years because I could not pass the RN boards on time. However, I went back to graduate school and just completed my MHA. Now I would like to go back and do the "Nurse Practioner" porogram. Can someone please give me some info on what I need to do? thanks. Will ask school advisor as well.

If I'm understanding you correctly, you have a BSN but are not an RN? You'll need to be an RN to get your NP, otherwise you'll have to do a Graduate-Entry Nursing Program. I haven't seen any (traditional) NP programs where you don't have to be a licensed RN in that state in order to enroll (if you find one, by all means let us know).
