Hi y'all! I was wondering if anyone else was struggling to stay focused in A&P 2? I really loved A&P 1.. found some of it pretty challenging (muscle physiology, bones, etc) but I loved it and stayed quite engaged from beginning to end. In A&P 2, I can't find my 'groove'. I dread lab, (not having fun with all the cat muscles) and I'm finding the lecture material boring! I just feel so unfocused this semester. I have the same (great) teacher so I know that isn't the case. I don't find the information confusing (we just finished the digestive system).. just... dry. I am most worried that since I am so disinterested that my grades are going to suffer (I'm really having to force myself to study this stuff).
I don't know.. I'm disappointed I'm not enjoying this class as much as I did the first part.
On the flip side, I LOOOVVVEEE Microbiology and Pathology. :)

I feel exactly the same way. I just can't get into the material right now, but I think that is partially due to the fact that I just completed my ADN application a few weeks ago and realize that I can get away with getting a B in A&P II without suffering too much in the long run. (Of course, I will still shoot for an A, but the motivation is just not there right now!)

I'm in A&P II and I'm doing okay. Great teacher, but my motivation is also waning. I don't need an A (last class before nursing school--HOPEFULLY), but I am still going to work hard to get one. I'm easily distracted from studying. I don't feel much like memorizing all the hormones, target cells, and actions (we're finishing the endocrine system). Oh well. At least we don't have any dissections or crazy labs, just slides and looking at anatomy models and colorings.

I too am taking the same teacher I took for A&P 1. Heart physiology is extremely boring to me as well. Knowing the various pressures of CO2 and O2 levels seems so trivial to me. I have a test coming up, so I better make it interesting :grn:

I actually feel more engaged this semester in A&P II... I got a B+ last semester and I just know that I was capable of an A! So I have put forth more effort this semester so far and you can tell by the grades I have been receiving! Next semester however, I will be taking "boring" classes such as statistics, comp II, a geography class, and two others to be determined... I have no clue how I am going to focused for those classes... sigh.
Good luck finding your groove again!!
