I have gone on several interviews and may have an offer sometime today. Every interviewer asked if I was scheduled to take the NCLEX.
I always reply that no, I am not registered to take it yet because I don't have the money. I need a job to get the money to take the test.
I am so frustrated. My dh's company is only working 8 hr shifts as opposed to 12 hrs. He isn't getting overtime and that bites into our ability to survive. There is no money to take the NCLEX.
Thanks for letting me vent!!
Anyone else in this position?

Is there any way that you can temporarily find a part-time job such as retail or something for a few weeks? These kinds of jobs usually hire people on the spot and that way you can get the amount of money that you need for the test.
Good luck to you on the interviews and I hope that you'll get an offer soon :)

I really think it's too expensive. But then again, it's because they have to do a serious background check which is a good thing.
