Northern California Basic Arrhythmia Course?

Published

Hello, I recently just got offered a new grad job on Telemetry unit but my director would like me to get a basic arrhythmia course under my belt before we start the paper work.

Does anyone know where I can get a basic arrhythmia course around Sacramento, but not as far away as LA? I've searched and searched and I can't seem to find anything.

Thanks for the information.

I'm pretty certain most Junior Colleges offer it, but I may be wrong. I attend Santa Rosa Junior College in Santa Rosa and they offer the course in Spring and Fall semesters.

Just search around the different junior college's course schedule for the class. It may be listed under Emergency Medical Care or anything along those lines.

Specializes in ACNP-BC, Adult Critical Care, Cardiology.

Not in Sacramento, but I recently recertified for BLS and ACLS at San Francisco Paramedic Association. I believe they have EKG and Dysrythmia Interpretation Classes as well. Their website is http://www.sfparamedics.org/index.php.

Specializes in Alzheimer's, Hospice, Med-Surg, Psych.

Dameron Hospital located in Stockton, CA offers EKG courses. The telephone number for Dameron is 209.944.5400 ext. 3760/3717. They charge $40 dollars. Scheduled dates for 2010 are: April 12/13, May 10/11, June 28/29, July 26/27, Aug. 9/10, Sep. 27/28, Oct. 25/26, Nov. 22/23, and Dec. 13/14.
