Hi, I'm thinking of applying to NEU's BSN/MSN program, anyone out there in this program? Not sure if this is a pipe dream to be an NNP for me.

I looked into it several years ago when I was looking at NP programs. It's a great program, but it was too long for me (4-5 years). I know someone who started the program this year and is very happy with it.
Good luck!!
Thanks for the info, I'm interested in the NNP progam, I believe Northeastern is the only school in Mass that has that. But now trying to figure out financing it is the issue, any suggestions?
As I kept telling myself...it's only money!!! I had no trouble getting loans, but I wasn't able to get any grants, probably cause we still had my husband's income. I would talk to someone in Northeastern's financial aid office to see what your options are. I was able to finance almost everything through federal loans, which have a lower interest rate than private loans. Regardless, it's still a lot of money and it's a bit overwhelming. However, I still think it was well worth it. If this is your dream, then don't give up!!
Thanks again for your reply. I have 4 kids, and hoping I can jugle everything, did you go through school with kids?
Yes, I have 2 teenagers. It was challenging at times, but I did it. My program was very fast paced, so I always had a heavy class load along with clinicals. I don't know if Northeastern is a little less intense cause it's spread out over a longer period of time. It will be a lot of work, regardless, but it's not impossible if you have support from your family. Are you planning on going full time or part time? How long is their BSN-MSN prgram? I was looking into their direct entry program, and I think it was 4 years full time.
Its up to 5 years part time. I was planning on going part time, because I still need to work. Luckily I have a lot of family support.
