Congrats to all of us that were accepted to the nursing program at either campus for Fall '06!!!!

I know what you mean. I have my A&P final exam on Wed. morning and I should be studying also. But frankly I am TIRED of studying, TIRED of work..I'm just tired. Plus, I can make a 60 on this final exam and still come out with an A in the class. It's such a wonderful feeling to know all this hard work has paid off. I can honestly say this has probably been my hardest semester because of my job making me work 45-50 hours per week when my boss KNOWS I am going to school. But it's also good to know that I didn't let that stop me from reaching my goal. I feel like I could do anything now after making it after that. I'm sure this is prepping me for RN school. Jaxia, good luck in A&P - I hope you get your A also.

Katie, how did they give you the numbers to decide who gets to choose their clinical sites first at NL? Do you get a mixed up number as you walk in? Like maybe the first person could end up with #50? (I think that's pretty fair, even though it may not be a happy thing.) lol

We used poker chips. :)

You had to choose your own number. I think I had #3. The instructors already had a sequence of random numbers. They told us the first 10 numbers first, e.g. 12, 9, 35, 44, 1, 21, 20, 10, 39, 40. So even I had #3 that didn't mean that I was the third person to sign up for clinicals. When the first 10 were done signing up they told us the next 10 numbers.

Does it help? I was lucky to sign up for my first choice. As I remember the list for Presby filled up first.

I'm just weighing the pros & cons for Presby as a first choice: instructor vs distance/travel time, plus # of days per week

2nd semester gang:

How early is too early to order your name tags, or how late is too late? :chuckle

I need to get my dosage book & I was thinking about changing my degree plan and ordering my nametags at the same time.

Katie, are you taking STATS 2442 during SII? I have a seat reserved, but not paid for yet. I just can't make up my mind what I want to do. $264 for me, plus around $50 for the book. That right there is a Littman Cardiology III plus a pair of Dansko Professionals. :chuckle

Thank you Fun2Care! It's 9:30 and I will be leaving to go take my exam at 12:00 noon. I am SO ready to be done with school. I just want to sleep for 3 days - so tired of work and school. :specs:

Oh Fun...I forgot to mention...I was looking through pictures that were posted on this site last night and I saw the picture that you had posted of your daughters. I must say you have yourself a couple of nice looking young ladies. I think the older one looks more like you than the younger one. Myself, I don't have any kids to post pictures of.

Excuse me for to butting in - Stats 2442 is Statistics - it's needed for RN-BSN or BSN degree. I am debating on taking that in the Fall. Good luck Jaxia!

Amy is correct, it's MATH 2442 or MATH 2342. Statistics is needed for most, if not all, BSN degrees. (MATH 2442 is a 4 credit course, while MATH 2342 is 3. ...Such as with College Algebra: MATH 1414 & MATH 1314, I believe.)

I'd rather take the 3 credit course as it's cheaper, but I don't want to take it all summer long. MATH 2442 is only during the SII and is online.

I figure I can study my conversions during May/June really heavily. Then in July, when SII starts, I should have them down pat, and just be able to review.

You can order your name tags anytime now. It my take some weeks to get it.

Thanks for the stats class. I have to take micro this summer. Mirco and stats would be to much fun together :) so I am going to take micro only.
