Hello fellow nurses,

I have interviews with Sanford for both the Medical Specialty Unit and the Cardiac Progressive Care Unit.

I would love some input from you regarding what a typical day in each unit is like. What is the patient to nurse ratio, what about the culture of the unit?

Which unit would be more helpful for a later transition to ER or ICU?

Thank you so much for your time.

Congratulations Eru! Welcome to Sanford!

Thank you... Looking forward to being a part of the team. I may need a tour of the new city if anyone is willing lol [emoji85]

My interviews were awesome! The nurse managers are great human beings, and the interview was very professional and laid back.

I ended up picking a position on the Cardiac Progressive Unit 2S.

Are you also applying to Sandford or planning to?

Congratulations!!! 🎉 I am beating myself up because I was offered a job at Sanford and I accepted it. However, my husband could not come with me (originally we were planning on going together) and I got scared of going there alone and I did not want to leave him for a year. So 2 weeks before my start date , I turned it down. Now I want to come, but I am afraid that they will not give me another chance. That was such a good offer.

Give them a call and explain what happened. They may be willing to give you another chance. You will never know unless you try. Good luck!

I think I messed it up. They already made my orientation schedule for the whole month, I wasted their time and effort. I already made a bad impression on them.

Just try... The worse you will hear is a no.

Hi! I have just accepted a position at sanford, for the cardiac progressive unit, as a new grad! I was wondering if you all like it, can tell me a little more about what I can expect, and also if you know what the shift differentials are? thanks!

I am also considering three positions at Sanford. All Med-surg.....oncology, psych and resource. I am a new grad and am concerned about getting adequate training. Has anyone out there been on these units? I was leaning toward resource but I am concerned whether I will receive enough training in each area that I will be assigned to......Any resource RNs out there who could give some advice?

Did you ever try at Sanford again?

How does everyone like Sanford so far? What are the interviews like?
