Watts is suppose to be one of the best in NC! I would def go there, however, I heard that even if you have taken all of their pre-reqs that you still have to take 18 credit hours at mount olive-and I don't want to do that. The book that is recommended is called "master the nursing school & allied health entrance exams" 18th edition by peterson's

All of the Pre-Req's are taken at Watts through MOC on Tues and Thurs nights from 6-10pm. It really isn't that bad and you get a chance to get to know your class members before starting your Nursing classes. The book they recommend is great and I ended up with an 89/91 on my entrance exam scores from studying from it.

If you have to take all of the prereq's at Watts its still only 6 month's. Since you have not taken the entrance exam you would start in May at the earliest and will be finished the last week of November. It's really not that bad at all, most program's will take a year plus before you are able to even try to get into the program. Once you take the entrance exam at Watts and pass you will have to apply. After you apply and are accepted, there is nothing else to do besides complete the prereq courses.

yeah what is the likability of getting accepted ??? after i pass the preadmissions test ?

After passing the test you have to apply, pass a background check, write an essay, and have three character references. They take all of this into consideration and then either accept or reject you. They take 50 students per semester so I would try to test by February at the absolute latest and go ahead and get everything else ready to submit. As long as you have no criminal history, have good references, have a good essay and pass the test I would think you would be accepted.

BTW, the ages in our class are from 17 to upper 40's.

okay i have good references just worried about my essay that's all and i am worried about the admissions test i do not like tests

Just study the book that they recommend and you will be fine with the test. I actually found the admission's test quite a bit easier than the test questions included in the book. I did not finish the first part of the test but did finish the second part of the test. I think I took too much time on the math portion on the front half but I also most likely did not miss any of the questions either. They don't expect you to finish the test from what I have gathered from talking to others.

I was recently accepted into the program and I feel like the admissions process is MUCH easier than what many expect!! In regards to your essay, tug on a few heartstrings, be honest, and you will be fine!! The exam was simple, honestly I didn't study and received a 91/95. I think you either know it or you don't! Also, the program through MOC is 6 months but you could possibly spend that much time on a 'waiting list' with some other school!!! Best of Luck
