CFCC lpn admission 2014

U.S.A. North Carolina

Hi!

I just took the PSB last week and got my scores in the mail yesterday for the lpn program at cfcc. I am a little confused as to how it works. I know that they are going to call me in for point review but I am trying to figure out where I stand right now. Do they only take the scores from the seven categories and leave out the academic aptitude score? What are the average psb scores for the lpn program? If anyone can help me calculate this right, I would appreciate it! Lots of posts of here concerning the ADN program at cfcc, but I haven't seen many about the lpn program. I wonder hoe competitive it is. There were a ton of people taking the psb test in my classroom last week. Thanks!

Hi!

I, too, applied to the LPN 2014 at CFCC. I got my scores yesterday as well. I wish I knew what the "average" calculated scores were that are being accepted; at least in previous years. I haven't heard anything, yet, of any category being dropped or not calculated. Normally, all 7 categories are subtotaled and 50% of the points are taken.

Do you have all the pre reqs to gain points from there as well? How well did you do on PSB? Sometimes, if you do well enough, the PSB can carry you all the way to acceptance! So, in your case, if you did superb then I'm sure you're golden!

They mail out letters to invite you to point count is what I was told by a counselor. But, unfortunately, that wont be for another 3 weeks or so. That's the bummer.

... And I think they are accepting 30 students this year versus the normal 25!

Good luck!

AA is not calculated ****
