Non trad nursing student

Hi everyone,

I have been stalking the site for a while and finally decided to register. I am a non traditional student in my first semester of the BSN program at Georgia Gwinnett. This is a second career for me and I am super excited! I have 4 kids , ages 4-14, and a tortoise and a goldendoodle. I'm still working part time, but am really fortunate that I have a supportive husband to pick up some of the slack. I look forward to learning, crying, and celebrating with all of you through this journey

Congratulations! I'm not Class of 2017, I'll be 2018. But I am a non-Traditional student.

I have my associates in Fine Arts, but Im going back for my degree in Nursing, probably going for BSN after my associates. Sadly, since I already have a degree from my school I am not eligble for ANY federal aid. I've even done an appeal, but they denied it. And they won't take loans for some reason, or so I've heard. So, Im off to paying for it on my own.

It'll be a long journey, but so worth it in the end.

Im excited to meet and talk to people on it too!
