I am a new nursing student and I was just wondering how all of you felt about where you are working.
I really love the elderly, and I think I might like working in a nursing home or assisted living center but alot of people think i am crazy because they say it is so nasty. I am not grossed out very easy (except in the OR ) and I haven't started clinicals yet... so I dont have any experience in any setting.
Anyone like that here??
I dont think I want to work in a hospital...just makes me a little nervous, but maybe that will pass.
Anyone here like working in their non hospital setting, and why...
welcome...

Your nursing school experience will introduce you to a variety of settings.
Until you do some of the actual work, it is hard to decide. Anyway, you do not have to decide now, and even after you decide on where you want to work, you can always change.
