Hi there!!
I am currently looking for non-clinical nursing jobs. I do not know where to start. My background is OR nursing. If anyone can give me an advice, that would be great. Thanks!

Insurance companies? I heard they hire RN to evaluate claimed cases.
Pharmaceutical rep? I know many who are RNs and now selling medications to doctors and hospital. Good money I heard.
Thanks for your reply.. I also looked at case manager, nursing informatics.. do you have any information on those?

Medical equipment companies frequently hire nurses who are familiar with their equipment.. to help develop educational programs for customers and sales reps. OR nurses are usually VERY familiar with a lot of different sorts of devices so they have an advantage in this area. You may also want to explore teaching opportunities in Surgical Tech programs - if you're AORN certified, you'd really be "hot stuff" for them also.
These days, nurse informatics & case management positions usually require formal education/certification in that field. But, you may want to check out opportunities with the leading EMR companies (Cerner, Epic, McKesson, etc) to see if there are any opportunities in your specialty area. OR nursing expertise is not very common - so your background can be a tremendous asset.
