Help! Anybody know....EC course.....the study guide is stating for us to establish nursing outcomes using NOC. I do know how to write care plans but is there a certain way you can use all this (NIC/NOC stuff), I do have Ackley Nursing DX book.

Here is a care plan generator. It has suggested NIC/NOC labels for each clinical state.

If you don't mind me asking what study guide is that in, or do we need to know this for each of them? I do have the book but also went to the link that was given above and that was helpful also, thanks.

Texasrtkd, It is in the content study guide for Essentials of Health Safety under section planning they want us to establish an outcome using NOC taxonomy. In the readings in Fund. Book it talks about NIC as well. But in Ackley it explains this concept but doesnt explain where we have to go to use all this. When I was doing care plans in school we did use Ackley Bk to create the care plans but Im not that familar with NOC/NIC. I do know there is stipulations on how to use this system but wondering where to find them. :) Thanks for replying.

try here: http://www.nursing.uiowa.edu/excellence/nursing_knowledge/clinical_effectiveness/index.htm

and see if this answers your questions. It has comprehensive info regarding both types of classification.
