I have no prior nursing experience but I am interested in Excelsior college. If I am understanding correctly I must have prior experience before I can do that...so I am just trying to figure out what the best way is for me to get there.
Can I get a CNA license, then apply or do I have to have a certain amount of exp. OR do I have to have at least a LPN....
-confused-

EC is for LPNs, EMTs, RT, PAs, and Docs.
If your qualifications do not meet any of these criteria then you are not eligible for the program.
CNAs are not eligible for ECs RN program.

It is also for those who have completed 50% of a traditional nursing program.

CNA alone won't be enough. You have to get an LPN license. You need to go to Excelsior's website: http://www.excelsior.edu and read their requirements. Everything is there. If you have any questions about the info, then you can call or email Excelsior. Their reps are very nice and good about answering questions. Good luck.
