Hi, I'm a fairly new nurse and I'm looking for areas of nursing to work in that doesn't involve the use of narcotics or benzos? Could you please share ideas with me? Thank you!

Check out under the "nurses" tab the "nurses/recovery" forum.  There are a few threads that discuss this there for a variety of reasons.

I work in a family practice clinic with extended hours and as such operates much as an urgent care.. the strongest we carry is Toradol.

Thanks so much! Right now I work in private duty so I can pick and choose my clients. I love it! But the pay in on the low side for an RN, which makes me constantly on the lookout for new opportunities. Thanks again for your ideas!

Yes to what everyone has said so far. Also I think it depends on why you’re avoiding working with narcs - is it a personal preference or a restriction? I ask because if you have an actual restriction (ie monitoring program) then you may find a facility/hospital that does handle narcs but is willing to work with that, versus if it’s just a personal preference then it may be more difficult.
