Writing out flashcards takes time you do not have! Check quizlet most likely someone already made the cards for your chapter and you can use your cell phone or computer to flip through them or print them or your notes. If not make a class quizlet group, invite everyone and share flash cards. SO MUCH LESS WORK! So much more study time!

Also flash cards make you learn little facts, not apply them. Be forwarded you can't only flash card your way through nursing school. Happy studying!!!

I have heard of quizlet. I have not used it before. Do you use it with your studying? Does it take a long time to set it up?

super fast. Easy to set up, also easy to invite your study group or whole class to quizlet. just go to their website quizlet.com and follow the directions. Also they have apps available for smart phone and for windows both are located in the google play store or windows store.

I use it on my tablet when I try to exercise on an elliptical so I can think through flash cards as i go. It will read the cards to you, or your can print out flash card pages also. (its like a full size page with printed boxes) I print it and put in my study packet for each chapter.

What's also great about quizlet is that you can add pictures to your flashcards. It really helped me a lot with trying to memorize parts of the body in Anatomy.

Another great feature for quizlet is the "learn" section. Instead of flipping through the flashcards, you type out the answers. I found this especially useful when i had to know how to spell a tough word, such as sternocleidomastoid lol

That's great and all, but be careful. It's not 100%reliable since other people are making the material and it may not match what you were taught

Have found incorrect info on quizlet and another similar website. You have to be careful.

Quizlet and cram.com are nice, but I still like making flash cards. Writing the material out helps you remember, and I think once the flash cards are made you can cycle through them faster than you can with the online programs. You can also filter out cards much easier when you have them in hand.

I always make my own flashcards on quizlet, it's really a hit or miss with other people's flashcards and i just can't trust them

Anki is pretty awesome, you make your own flashcards and can add pictures, then when you are done building your deck it uses an algorithm so it brings back up the cards you had a hard time remembering just when you are about to forget it again, which really helps to reinforce it. I swear by it

Thanks for the tip

It's got all 5 ratings in the App Store

It's not free but I'll be trying it out for fall.

I've used Quizlet for many other classes and it's an excellent tool. Another thing I plan to do it buy flashcards off of Amazon. The have a lot of nursing student study books too.
