2017 NMC UK Decision Letter

Published

Hi Guys,

I found an old thread from 2016 but wanted to start anew so we don't have to filter through 20+ pages. I submitted my application in June and it was placed on the queue on June 21. I am still anxiously waiting for my decision letter. My 40 working days is on the 16 August. Is there anyone else that submitted this at about the same time as me that's waiting to hear back?

Also - anyone have issues with clinical practice hours in university from the US? I was short by 25 hospital hours, but I did 187 hours volunteering at a hospital while I was in school. They said to include that in my transcript of training, that it should be ok but it would still need to be assessed like everything else, which leads me to believe it should be fine, albeit still so terrified! I have my family and my boyfriend waiting on me to get there and I can't wait any longer!!

Hi! just would like to ask about the NBI Clearance needed for Visa application. Does it have a validity time frame? like number of months from date of issue to the date of Visa application?

Royal Derby :) haven't received mine though. Have you applied for the Visa already?

Southern HSC. How about you?

Can i ask about the NBI Clearance? Was it issued within 3 months from your date of appearance to the VFS?

My agency told me that I can use the NBI clearance I've used in the NMC application. I guess as long as it is still valid, we can use it in the visa application.

Hi fellow nurses :) I just want to share that I just got my DL today June 27.. I was put on queue on May 21.. When it was already my 31st day of waiting, I emailed NMC to follow up on my application. They replied about my application and explained that it is really 30-60 days before getting the DL and sometimes it takes more than that time frame. I was a bit sad when i read that last line because what if it really will be more than 60 days :( But after a few days voila, I checked my email and there it was, my DL. The long wait is over and it was all worth it. I guess my follow up email helped too for them to check on my application and start doing the assessment. You can try sending NMC and email too.

Hello there,

All of my documents were received last June 11, 2018.

I hope the DL will come sooner.

P.S. my friend passed all her documents last June 5 and got her DL last June 20 which is pretty fast. I do not know the reason why it was assessed so early.

I guess it really depends on our assessor. That is why if you think that it actually is taking so long and you think that you passed all the requirements appropriately, then you can do a follow up by sending them an email or calling them.

I believe that the NBI/police clearance is only valid for 3 months from the date of issue. So if you passed it for visa requirement and it has already passed the 3 months then it is no longer valid. YOu can also confirm this with your agency though.

No, I haven't
