Hi all,
I am seeking information on the new computer-based test for overseas applicants. I am a certified nurse-midwife in the US and hoping to qualify in the UK, as my husband's job is moving us to London. On paper, it looks like I'll meet all of the education and experience requirements, but I'm nervous about the computer-based test. I took the NCLEX many years ago in the US, but my knowledge of adult nursing/drugs, etc. is now very distant! Are there any sample exams online for the CBT? Or does anyone know if there is a different midwifery-focused exam? Has anyone here successfully registered as a midwife under the new system?
Thanks in advance!

Hi sunmoonstars3 -
I am a CNM attempting to become registered in the UK. I take my CBT Monday. Have you found out any information in the interim? I have read that we are meant to review the blueprint, NICE guidelines, and all the info on the NMC regarding midwives (codes, standards, guidelines, etc.). I hope you have taken your CBT and are well on your way in this new process! I'm on the register as an RN from a long time ago, but I have to go through this whole process again for midwifery.
Hi LJMidwife! I hope that the test went well for you. Since I last posted, the NMC posted more information on their website regarding the requirements for the test. It still looks like a ton of information from a variety of sources, but I don't know how/what they prioritize. It'd be great to hear how/when you got your results.

Hi,
I am looking at resitting my exam also. How did you go with your exam? Any tips for passing if you did or know anyone that has passed?
Thank you

Hi Kristie-Marie,
Did you learn any more information? (This is the original poster, I am locked out of that account for some reason). Please message me if you'd like to chat!
Thanks!
