There are plenty of nursing openings in the area. Actually The Boston Globe is having a career fair 10/3. You should check out Bostonworks.com and get a feel for whats out there. Lots of Home Health opportunities, office,LTC/SNF positions for LPN's. Getting a hospital job as an LPN can be tough in MA. They tend to hire only RN's and use LPN's for MD offices etc. Some hospitals do however hire LPN's. I've done LTC and Home Health. Was offered a job for a major ins. company but turned it down. Not enough money for what I am getting paid now, but decent for a new nurse. PM if I can be of any help.

There are several SNFs and Rehab hospitals in the area that hire LPNs. pay rates are decent, more $$ as you get closer to Boston. There are several good LPN-RN programs in both northeastern MA and southern NH...not a far ride. good luck!!
