Hi, I am starting a new job as a night supervisor (11 to 7) at a long term sub acute place. I used to work in long term couple of years ago but as a day shift unit manager, since then I had a job as a manager at a correctional facility for a year and as a ADON for 3 months. I would like to hear how everyone's night is like as a supervisor on 11 to 7. thanks

I have worked 11p-7a and its usually dead. The patients are asleep and the staff are trying to stay awake. I am also an ADON and work in log term care. So more than likely you won't be doing too much on night shift besides trying to stay awake.

Uh... unless the position is that for a 'working supervisor'. More & more places are requiring that their supers take a team and a cart along with all the super duties.

If it's a dual position, you'll pretty much be quite occupied.
