Studying for CCRN/RNC

  1. Hi everyone! I am thinking about applying for the neonatal certification exam (probably CCRN) and I have a few questions for those of you who have taken the exam.

    1. What books/materials/reviews/programs did you use to study? and which one did you find was most helpful/similar in style to exam questions?

    2. How long did you study before taking the exam?

    3. Did you just study on your own or did you take a review course as well?

I know everyone's studying techniques are different, but any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you!! :spin:

Here's some information addressing your questions:

I actually bought the Core Curriculum book for the CCRN but ended up taking the RNC. No study group or review course and I studied a couple days before the test. I would have liked to have a review session, but I'm not so sure it would have helped. Not much of the studying I did could have replaced experience.

    Good luck!
