Hello,
I am a nicu nurse that is looking to further my education. I am looking for a masters degree that can be applied to many settings and is interesting. I was looking at Masters in Public Health programs b/c I am intrigued by the health promotion and research part (b/c I am interested in research as well). However I would like (really like!) to stay in the neonatal population. As I right now work in intensive care and do not foresee myself in public health nursing (although who knows what will happen!) does a masters in public health make sense for me? Thanks all. T

Nope..will make less pay with MS in Public health, unless government job comes your way. NICU/hospital position often pays better sorry to say.
NICU NP's would get you more autonomy along with research options if you want to stay in that area.
What about a masters in public health, versus a ms in public health nursing? t.
