VEEB LPN Program (info request)

Hi All,

I'll be starting at VEEB in the Fall and was wondering if there are any current or past VEEB students that can give some info on this program.

What are the Teachers like?

What are the required books?

Is the program as intense as they say?

Do they have articulation agreements with other nursing (RN) programs? If so, with who?

Are there any disadvantages in taking the LPN course outside of a Community College setting?

Do they provide job Placement at the end???

Any information that ANYONE can provide will be GREATLY appreciated! I really want to have a full understanding of what I'm in for. I have 2 year old Twins and I am a little worried about whether or not I'll be able to juggle school/studying and Family!

Hi! Congrats to all of you who have gotten accepted!

I have a few questions. 1. Did anyoen test on March 12 and get a letter? I have been reading the posts and only see February. 2. I am confused. some of you are saying you sent letters and then got the acceptance letter then paid $. So actually you got 2 letter? One sayng you past the test and bring ref. letters and then another sayign you were in and bring the $? 3. Is bridge class ssame as wait list? when we took test they said we may be on wait list. If you are on wait list how longtil you kow if you're in? Unti after bridge or after letters of recommendation and $?

Thanks for any info you can give me. I am confused and anxious.

congrats everyone who got their acceptance letter...dam im getting excited and nervous at the same time..i hope i get my letter tomorrow..i live in brooklyn so maybe it will come tomorrow..did they tell you when to make the deposit or did you just go there and do it and do they accept personal checks for the deposits??congrats to all again

The letter said the deposit had to be in by 4/13, so anytime before that is good..... They only accept postal Money order for payment.

I tested in February so I can't answer your first question. As far as your second question. Yes we received two letters. the first letter saying that we passed the test and the date that our references were due. Then we received another letter advising that we were accepted to the program and that our deposits are due. Your third question... to my knowledge the bridge program is not the waiting list. ( I could be wrong) The bridge program is for students who came very close to passing yet have another opportunity to get into the program. As far as the waiting list ...I would assume that if someone decided not to attend VEEB for whatever reason the next person on the waiting list would have a chance to attend.

Thanks for your note. I did not get my test results yet..that's why I'm worried. Once I get the results do I then send letters and then they accept me and then I bring $? Or is it once I get test results, I bring letters of rec and $???

Hey hopeful, like trini stated, u first get your results, if u passed they have a date u have to have two reference letters in by, then they send u a letter of acceptance with a date u have to have the deposit by, i'm doing the bridge and the bridge is for people who came really close to passing the entrance exam, we have to take a remedial class then take the test over, and if we pass we are in!!!!! geo when is your interview for the bridge? Mines is tuesday, I'm excited to hear about the program!

well the weather sucks outside and my day is about to start becoming better...bmommy and prospect and to everyone that got their acceptance letter ill be seeing you in september....ooo yea...gonna drop my deposit in on monday...

Guess what they pick all the people they need for the program! This is how it works , they sent out the letters to people who did not pass ! The people who get the 2nd chance must pay $500 + 1500 to hold their space and if they don't pass u only get back $800

P.S u get to retest for free next year!
