VEEB LPN Program (info request)

Hi All,

I'll be starting at VEEB in the Fall and was wondering if there are any current or past VEEB students that can give some info on this program.

What are the Teachers like?

What are the required books?

Is the program as intense as they say?

Do they have articulation agreements with other nursing (RN) programs? If so, with who?

Are there any disadvantages in taking the LPN course outside of a Community College setting?

Do they provide job Placement at the end???

Any information that ANYONE can provide will be GREATLY appreciated! I really want to have a full understanding of what I'm in for. I have 2 year old Twins and I am a little worried about whether or not I'll be able to juggle school/studying and Family!

hey i'm currently enrolled in veebs and I must say Im enjoying my learning experience we've already had 3 test and i've been doing pretty good on the test A's on all three yay me :D I can tell that this will be an intense program and this year will have its ups and downs but im up for the challenge!the instructors are all nice.

the "pink instructors" talks to soft so its hard to hear her but besides that everything is good i'm getting ready to study for my fundamentals test monday and human developement test which is wednsday!

Hey Trinionli,

School's going great! Just finished taking the last of the Mid-Terms today, and started Clinicals Last week Monday {Section 1}.This year VEEB is trying something new by sending us out to Assisted Living facilities for the first month to practice therapeutic communication (Which gets EXTREMELY boring after awhile), but I enjoy the change of scenery non the less. Since Clinical started the phrase "time management" is starting to become a reality.:lol2: [Didn't know they gave so much work in clinical :uhoh3: lol]

Anyway, I hope all is well on your end. Did you take the boards yet??? If not, let us know when you do. Either way GOOD LUCK to you!! :)

Oh wow, thats terrific, they're giving you experience with assisted living. That's a hot market right now. I actually felt a little embarrassed over the summer, when I interviewed with a place that sounded like a nursing home. In actuality it was an assisted living place, and I got caught off guard by the really specific questions in concern to it.

Haven't taken the boards yet. Studying and waiting for license approval....... Glad school is going good for you!

Hi,you are welcome.Veeb does not ask for college transcript,all what you need is just ur high school diploma

Hello All!

I just moved to the state of NY and I have been going crazy looking for a LPN program.

I already took the TABE exam for the NY DOE, through GoldWater. I was interested in applying for the VEEBS

LPN Program. However, my main concern is that I live in the Bronx. I do drive, but would that be a bit too much? I wouldnt mind the commute, and Im sure there has to be another prospective LPN student living near me.
