VEEB LPN Program (info request)

U.S.A. New York

Published

Hi All,

I'll be starting at VEEB in the Fall and was wondering if there are any current or past VEEB students that can give some info on this program.

What are the Teachers like?

What are the required books?

Is the program as intense as they say?

Do they have articulation agreements with other nursing (RN) programs? If so, with who?

Are there any disadvantages in taking the LPN course outside of a Community College setting?

Do they provide job Placement at the end???

Any information that ANYONE can provide will be GREATLY appreciated! I really want to have a full understanding of what I'm in for. I have 2 year old Twins and I am a little worried about whether or not I'll be able to juggle school/studying and Family!

Hello. I also want to take the LPN class. I do understand that there's a entrance exam. What is on the test? Is it timed? what is considered a passing grade? Im not worried about the reading/comprehenshion part. My main concern is the math. I suck at it. anything pass basic math i will fail. can someone please email back.

Math and Reading Comp is on the test. I studied from the tabe D book because it breaks down things really well, but you can get any Ged book. Their tests were from Nelson Denny. You have multiplication, division, subtraction, fractions, percents, decimals, intergers, taht is all I can remember right now.

vocabulary as well....

The math is very basic. So if your not that great in math.... start brushing up now. I think they start testing late January or early February.

How were the mid-terms guys?

Nursing Fundamentals good, Science not to good, that was pretty challenging for me.

I'm sure you did good. Think positively and good luck tomorrow.

I'm sure I did well but it was still a challenging test for me. Thinking positively and actually knowing the answers are two different things. You can think positive but if you don't remember or know the answers it doesn't really matter how positive you think. Wow that was almost like a tongue twister. I am pulling really good grades, but that 1 class causes me to study a little harder. Due to the course being 11 months it is very accelerated, and you have so much to know in sooooo little time, I need more time. I wish you well on the exam tomorrow. :D

I see what your saying.... I still think positive thinking helps along with studying of course. I'm in clinicals this week but I will study hard and try my best when I test next week!

You are in clinicals? I thought I saw you today. How is clinicals? What facility are you training in? I will be in Townehouse. You are right, positive thinking does help. I wish you well when you take the test, study your CHEMISTRY, and CELLS!

Yes ma'am. I am at Townhouse too! It's a very nice facility and parking isn't bad at all. You hear LTC horror stories but I guess we lucked out. Clinicals are good. Yay for bed baths. LOL The residents are really sweet and happy to have someone show them that extra bit of care. We had drug cards to do (10) and I'm glad those are out the way......
