Hi. i dont know if you have received any onfo RE: this post or maybe you are working there and can help to share any answer to your questions. Im a recent grad and baby nurse (took my boards 9/2). i am currently looking for positions. I have seen on their site that they do hire New Grads with a $1000.00 sign on bonus and a 10% evening and night differential. I dont remember the salary, it may have been $25/$26 an hour. However i have heard that the work is very difficult. I dnt kno. im still applying tho

i would say def try if for urself but for me its terrible. i went there through an agency they did give like a 4week orientation. but everyone i trained with told me to watch my back constantly every single one of them. it is pretty strict. if ur staff it may b better becuz u can b assigned to a specific floor, if agency u will b floating all over. one night i was on a floor with 60 residents to me one nurse, ridiculous. i gave it 2 tries and never went back, i figured that i don't wanna lose my license. and the mar and tar is on the computer and everything else which i don't like @ all. but to each his own.

I have an interview with King Harbor tomorrow...any advice??

I know it's late, but I worked at kings harbor for about 1.5 years and I dreaded going there every time I worked. I worked in the manor, which was the psych and behavioral issue building. I worked evenings, and I was the only nurse for 60 patients. You get used to handling the patient load, but the managers and supervisors are what turned me off. I had a manager close an elevator door in my face after I worked a 16 hour shift, scream at me on the phone while they were at the nurse's station at 7 am after I worked the evening before. They play favorites and because I was quiet and respectful I was taken advantaged of. I had somebody threaten my license because of missing medication for 2 months before that were handled by countless people. Kings harbor was the only place that I could find a job without any experience. After working there I realized why nobody stays there.
