Check out the travel nursing forum that we have on this site. You will find much information there.
Can you also be more specific as to what you are looking for in an area? The state is quite large and offers quite bit of everything but geography can be quite different as well as weather.
It would be easier to make some suggestions if you were more specific as to what you wanted to do.

Hi Jon. Are you planning to live in No Cal or So Cal?
honestly i really dont know what better north or south lol. im thinking san diego or san francisco. as long as its warm, sunny, and the beach is close im good. i want more of the night life area thats trendy and has a variety of restaurants to enjoy my time while im in california.im all about the water and just need a change of scenery, im tired of new york and want to meet nice people as well.
San Francisco is definitely not warm and sunny. Big difference between San Diego and the northern part of the state. The Bay Area is beautiful but you get fog and mist and much cooler than other areas. Easiest way to describe it is that most apts do not have air conditioning, it is that much cooler in most cases.
Ocean water in the San Franscisco area requires a wet suit, and more for surfing than anything else.

San Francisco Bay Area, isn't always cool and foggy, but I'd say that the weather is nice at times.....It's not warm on a regular basis if you're looking for a place that's warme most of the time....The Bay Area isn't it....but if you're looking for night life, the Bay Area is the place to be, especially San Francisco....
San Diego is warmer than the Bay Area and can get humid at times, especially inland....well IMO, it's HOT there inland, the San Diego coast is just beautiful, and the weather is nice....
i think ill just have to travel to both areas :) i didnt know san fran was that cold...
I wouldn't say that the Bay Area is freezing....but it's cool.....winters can be COLD...but to me it's cold but if you're from Ukraine you might consider it a heatwave, it just depends on where you're from....and what type of weather you're used to....Good Luck!
