Hi all,
I am new here and have just applied for the graduate entry DNP at Case Western Reserve University.
I wanted to say hello to everyone and introduce myself! I am English, studied genetics at the University of Leicester, UK and then an M.Phil at the Sainsbury Laboratory, UK. I moved to Cleveland, Ohio two years ago to be with my partner. He has four children from his marriage, 3, 6, 8 and 14 years old and we have a 16 month old together.
I sent my application to Case last week, having wanted to get into nursing for some time. I am worried about juggling education and child rearing, but we shall see!
Is anyone else applying/applied to Case Western? I have only applied there as restricted to this area and do not want to travel. I will be having to take some pre-req courses for a year beforehand - is anyone else in this position? The university said they will evaluate my transcripts and let me know what courses I need and also it will be dependant on the GRE, which I have not taken yet!
I am very nervous about everything, have to apply, then apply for funding (a loan as international students don't get anything else), then get my visa, to be honest it is all very daunting right now!
Any advice would be welcome, and just hello's would be great, I look forward to getting to know everyone!

Welcome and good luck! I live in Columbus, so I did not apply to Case, but I do know that they have a great program and it is well-respected.
Good luck as you pursue your new career!
