Well, I just found out yesterday that I will be taking my NET on Aug. 9th, at Lancaster Career & Technology (Willow Street Campus).
I am extremely nervous....it's been 15 yrs. since I graduated High School, and having 3 girls (ages 5, 3, and 2), my brain has been stuck on Disney, Nick Jr., and god yes even Barney!!!!! As you can read, my English isn't so hot either! Not to mention, I plan to do night classes which are from 4-10pm (because having sm. children with no babysitter).
The school referred me to purchase "The NET Study Guide" to help. I get it Monday (July 10th).
I have wanted to be a nurse since I was 10 yrs. old, but during my Sr. year in H.S., a friend of mine was going to the Art Institute of Philadelphia for Music & Video Business, so of course, I went with her. Now, I'm kicking myself in the behind for not doing this when I should of! I had an excellent opportunity (a hospital was going to send me to school, and pay 100% of cost, but I would be contracted with them for 2 years) and blew it!
Just wondering....does anyone else here have small children, and how do you manage going back to school and studying without getting "burned out?" It took me 15min. just to write this post with the kids up my back! (I can type 98wpm!) I see everyone posting getting "burned out" about school....now imagine with 3 children! GOD HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!

Sushiwoman - I'm in the same boat as you, although it has only been about 7 years since I graduated college. I have three boys just about the same age as yours (6, 3, and almost 2). My husband is in the military so he's never home and currently I'm a SAHM after working for 7 years. I'm just starting my pre-reqs this semester (I had to spend last semester taking pre-reqs to take the pre-reqs, go figure!)
It is tough managing the kids, home, husband, and all of that stuff but once you get into the swing of things and get a good schedule going, it isn't too bad. I took 4 classes last semester (only 1 was actually on campus, the rest were online) and although it was tough, I did manage to pull straight A's.
You CAN do it and if you ever need anyone to talk to, feel free to PM me!
