I signed up with College Network to take Excelsior exams and have my microbiology exam this saturday. Does anyone have any advice? I am nervous because I don't know what to expect. This is the only general class i need and then I will be studing the Health saftey module. Has anyone else used The college network/ excelsior?
Thanks, Lisa

I used their modules but did not sign their contract. Basically I would read and study the module and when you feel like you know most of the stuff then schedule the test. Its pretty much that simple. IMO I did not feel totally confortable just using their modules I also used some of the books EC recommended. Test the waters and study TCN module for Health Safety and see how you do. You should be ready to take the test in about a month if you study consistantly. I recommend buying EC's practice test. This will guage you on how you might do on their test. Good Luck to you! I hope you do well!

I did use the TCN module for microbiology but I do not feel like that it was enough to help me pass the test. This was a difficult test for me. I failed this test on 02-13-09 with a D. I should have known better than testing on Friday the 13th. I will have to find other resources to study when I decide to retest.:uhoh3:

I do not use TCN. I have bought a couple of their used study guides on ebay and have found them to be inferior to other study materials.
I felt the same way, felt the microbiology module had some missing information. I paid the 65 for the practice exams and they were a huge help. I took the exam this morning, passed it with a C. Hard class but I'll take the grade!
Good luck and try the practice exam, it's worth it.
